Of course its 5 stars. It is after all vom Humbolt, one of the best minds of the 19th century
Excellent book, written by an author with an obvious passion for the subject, complemented by a very readable writing style.

This final volume is not up to the standard of the earlier volumes. The travel story peters out and is replaced by endless geological minutiae.
